Low Blood Pressure

I did not write the below but had copied it out from an article. Just to share with you…

From : http://stanford.wellsphere.com/vitamins-supplements-article/the-risks-of-low-blood-pressure/366879

“We tend to think only about high blood pressure when we talk about blood pressure.

Studies, products and researches are primarily done for cases of elevated blood pressure.

But aren’t we overseeing low blood pressure?

Hypotension or low blood pressure is when the force exerted by circulating blood on the wall of the vessels is very low. Some cases may be life-threatening.

This lack of pressure may be originated when the heart is not working properly, not pumping enough blood into the arteries and consequently, not delivering enough oxygen and nutrients to vital organs such as the brain and kidney.

This problem may start a very dangerous “chain reaction” in the human system. Nutrients are directly responsible for maintaining organs working properly. Symptoms and signs of low blood pressure could be the beginning of a serious health problem, when the organs do not function normally and may eventually be permanently damaged.

Some people may have blood pressure of 90/50 and feel fine, but others may develop symptoms of low blood pressure if their pressure drops to 100/60.

But what can you really do to treat low blood pressure? A few tips can be helpful to increase blood pressure. Drink a lot of water; get more fluids into your system, avoiding dehydration. An increase in salt intake may also help.

Avoiding large meals and large amounts of carbohydrates, as well as alcohol, could regulate your blood pressure. Do not stand up suddenly especially after eating, as this movement may cause dizziness.

Medications to raise blood pressure increase sodium retention. We do recommend that you speak to your doctor before taking anything to regulate your blood pressure.

2nd term School Holiday

We didn’t take them to anywhere for vacation for this semester break. Our compensation is to accompany them with more sports and activities.

I, will take them to swimming even during working days (after my work). Hubby would play badminton with Ernest after his work if he comes home early. And for sure, he will play with him on Sun after his golf game.

Ernest had picked up badminton since last month when his school PIGB association organized a Teacher-Parent friendly badminton game every Sun at the school. Now, he loves badminton.

So, what does Ed do during his school break ? nmm…. he has no interest at all in badminton game. He likes swimming but he plays more in the kids’ pool. I have yet so far, found anything that he is interested in except for arts. I have been talking about sending him to art class…… I think I failed my mission. ;-p Will do so quick.

Perfumes…

Perfumes …. something I can’t live without….

I started to like perfume when I was 15. It was then my puppy love boy friend had always sprayed a type of “men” perfume on his body.
The fragrance was strong and it attracted me to always staying close to him. Guess, that’s the gimmick of men to have girls around them. :-D Too bad, I did not ask what brand it was before we slowly walked our own path.

10 years later, again, I was caught by another men’s Scent on his body. This time, I asked. It was Polo Sport for men by Ralph Lauren, blue color bottle.

Though the scent was different from the one I smelt 10 years ago, but this one too has strong scent, and again… it attracted me to stay close by him !! We did not walk our path this time. :-D I like it so much that I bought one for myself, thou it is “for men”. ;-) I didn’t like the Polo Sport for woman as the smell wasn’t strong enough to attract men. Haha

Top 5 Perfumes that I like most:-
Christian Dior - Dior Addict 2 (2005) :-
Very floral, sweet, fresh and cooling. It’s refreshing, feel young and energetic. This was presented by my SIL. Superb ! Best of the best perfume I ever used.

Elizabeth Arden - Green Tea.
It has a lush green world of freshness, uplifting fragrance that energizes the body, excites the senses and revives the spirit. Some peppermint fragrance too.
This was packed together with “DOM” (a chinese herbal alcohol) as a gift packed bought by hubby from airport.

Calvin Klien - Contradiction (1997) for woman :-
It has feminine scent, blend of pure rose, satin wood and sandalwood. This is the first and the last perfume I ever received from hubby. I like it very much.

Issey Miyake - L’eau D’issey Perfume :-
It is a fresh yet warm, woody undertones. Delicate and floral tone. This is the first perfume I bought for myself. So feminine ! Love it.

Ralph Lauren - Polo Sport for Men :-
reminisce my young days.. A scent that I will never forget.

All in all, from the choices above, seems like I prefer either floral or strong uplifting fragrance. So, what’s yours ?

Edmund’s 1st Term Exam Score

I had never worried about Ed in his studies. Or, I should say, I had never really put attention to his studies. I only sometimes check on his homework and asks him to read. I rarely tests him on what he read. He is although not as intelligent as Ernest, but he is very attentive and focus. So, I just leave it to him.

This is what he got from his 1st term exam (5 paper sat. Could not resit for the rest 4 subjects due to holidaying. :-) )
Subject - Marks
English Science - 95%
English Maths - 100%
Bahasa (understanding) - 100%
Bahasa (essay) - result yet published
Mandarin (essay) - result yet published

Quite a good result so far, isn’t it ? Thanks to the past experience gained from Ernest, Ed was careful with his upper and lower cases. Thus, allowing him to obtain full marks.

Ed didn’t show us his papers for the 1st two subjects. He simply leave it on the floor few days after he took home. He didn’t even mention about it. Not even the pre-exam papers from his tuition teacher. He kept all to himself. It seems to him, nothing great. When asked, he just said “Um. I got 100% for my Maths and 95 for Science.” That’s it. No further elaboration.

Today, first day after school holiday, he got back his Bahasa paper. This one he told he scored 100%. Ernest was surprised, because it is Bahasa paper. To Ern, Bahasa is a difficult subject to score.

Ed got a bit excited when Ern and me were trying to recall what subject and how many 100% he got. As soon as daddy comes home, he ran down towards the entrance and said to his dad ““Daddy, I got 100% for my Bahasa. You don’t have to buy me anything because you had bought me a Ben-10 watch. Don’t need to buy anymore even if I get 3 or 4 100%.” ….. haha… so cool.

Well, it really wasn’t to my surprise that he got this result for his exam. I hope this will be a motivation to Ernest to focus on paying attention to class’ lessons.

After a long long break….

Hi friends……. I’d MIA for 1/2 year and I’m truly sorry for being silence without a word. Life was hectic since mid Oct 2008. Let’s look at a summary of what happened…

Oct 2008 - 1) Hubby’s grandma passed away. 2) Children school exam. 3) Transition to new task within the same department. I am into system, tools implementation and project management now. All happened at the same time.

Nov 2008 - Fully transfered to new work. However, still supporting previous role as new comer just joined. My transition period to new role was only 2 weeks. I was very blank then. Extremely busy to cope with previous and new tasks.

Dec 2008 - This should be my busiest month. Whole day chairing training for 2 full weeks and work afterthat. My hair stood up almost everyday. Then Christmas came, and then new year came. There wasn’t a break for me thou we had a Christmas vacation in KL.

Jan 2009 - Ed started his 1st grade. Only been to school with him for the first day. He was very comfortable with the environment since Ernest is there with him.

Feb 2009 - CNY came. I worked on the 1st and 2nd day of CNY because of my work nature. 3rd day of CNY, Wes’s another grandma celebrated her 80th birthday. We went back hometown. 4th day of CNY - back to work again ! (already sick 1 wk before CNY….). Right after CNY, prepared kids for school 1st term exam starting e/Feb to b/Mar.

Mar 2009 - Went holiday for 2 wks!! (still coughing every now and then). Very tiring trip !! The kids enjoyed but not for me.. You know why. Don’t ask me.

Today - My whole back is in pain !! Sore throat.. Mouth ulcer….

It seems like there were holidays in Dec, Jan and Mar, but I didn’t feel having a single day rest. Life is soooo hectic as always. :-D

Email from Ed

I received a mail from Ed this morning. He wrote:

“I am a wind, You are a cloud. Then, I transformed to a person”.

LOL. :-D so cute… so poetic. Don’t know where he learnt it from.

Oh ya, btw, I created Ern and Ed an email id of their own….. :-) It was when Ern came back from school saying that teacher teach them how to send email but to fake IDs. So, I created a genuine one for them. ;-D
