Ed’s 2nd Milk Teeth

It was a rainy day today and Ed was totally wet not from the rain but his own sweat.

He played football with Ern in the living room when MIL and SIL visited us towards the evening just now. They always acted strange whenever there are guests. However, it was their first time playing football in the house. Maybe it’s also because they didn’t get to play in the porch the whole day. So, I allowed them to have futsal ? :-D

As it was already late evening and it’s still raining outside, I bathe them instead of they bathe themselves and start to have another indoor pool game by themselves. :-D

As I was bathing Ed, I noticed something white at his inner gum. I took a closer and a clearer look. It was his adult teeth coming up. For the first time ever, I tried shaking it numerously before attempting to pull it. I know if I don’t do it now, he may have crooked teeth like what Ern is having now. Since the milk teeth was already very loose, it was easy for me to remove it without him screaming or shouting.

I hadn’t got the courage previously but after few times seeing other adults helping Ern removed his teeth, I tried it for Ed the first time.

Here it go… I did it! :-D

Spagetthi Al Carbonara - Localized

Why do I like to introduce recipes or always putting up about food ? This is sign to tell you that other than my 8-5 job, my next important task is to cook and feed my kids after their school. :-D

The most I have is 45mins to get everything ready for dinner. So, I always think of the simplest out of the simplest dish that I can cook and hopefully, it can be eaten. LOL

Here I have my Spagetthi Al Carbonara. Learnt it from my Italian friends. Oops… I changed spagetthi into twisted pasta. Boring to always have spagetthi. :-)

Portion: 2 servings (Hubby not home for dinner)
Preparation Time: 5mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins

My Ingredients:
2 medium Eggs
2 mushroom (slice)
1/4 carrot (medium size. Slice)
4 vegetarian meat (chopped finely)
2 slices of cheddar cheese (Mozzarella Cheese should taste better but I only have cheddar ready always).
1 tsp butter
1 tsp of garlic and onion (chopped finely)
salt to taste

My Cooking Method:
1) Boil water and add in pasta.
(Some ppl put a few drops of oil into the water so that the pastas will not stick to each other. Some ppl add some salt for better taste. For me, I do not add oil as I feel that the pastas will be coated with a layer of oil and it will not absorb other tastes easily).

2) Heat up wok, melt butter, add in garlic and onion and fry till fragrant.
3) Add mushroom, vegetarian meat and fry for awhile, then add in carrot.
4) Sieve pasta out from boiling water. Pour away the water and remain the pasta in the pot.
5) Break the eggs onto the pastas and swiftly stirr it on low flame until egg is fully cook. (The eggs will stick to the pastas).
(For real al carbonara, egg white is not used. Only egg yolk so that the pastas look golden yellow after it’s cook).
6) Add in cheese and turn off heat.
7) Remove pastas and arrange it on plates.
8) Pour the fried ingredients onto the pastas and my localized spagetthi al carbonara is ready to serve. :-D

I will usually cook pastas when I have no more veges in my fridge. Perfect for Lazymom. ;-p

Spring Onion Chicken

Can I blog a little about my cooking ? After hubby complaint that day, I kind of hesitated to talk about food anymore. But, can I blog a little about it, plsss?

I really want to post this out as I found I’ve taken the pic nicely. LOL :-D Not that I’ve cooked it deliciously.. :-D

Let’s talk a bit more about it.
(Portion for 3 adults)
Preparation time:5mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

My ingredients:
1/4 Chicken
3 stalks of Spring Onion (depends on your liking)
few slices of ginger
pinch of salt
60ml water

My cooking method:
1) Wash and chop chicken into pieces as per the size you preger. (I actually had the chicken skin removed and chopped when I buy it)
2) Wash spring onion and cut each about 4cm long.
3) Slice ginger.
4) Heat up wok, add a table spoon of oil and fry ginger until fragrant.
5) Add chicken and fry till fragrant.
6) Add in spring onion, water, salt and cover until water is boil.

Remove and serve.

Easy, Fast and healthy ! Isn’t it ?

Pau (Steam Bun)- Tai Pau, Tau Sar Pau

I went to wet market yesterday morning but forgotten to buy bread for today for them to take to school and for hubby’s breakfast.

So, this morning, I gave Ern RM1 for him to buy food at school canteen. As I was driving him to tuition center, I asked if he wanted to have Pau. He just said, “It’s ok. If you want to buy, then buy, if you don’t want to buy, also can.

Kind of pity him… so, I went and buy him his favorite Tau Sar Pau (Red-bean paste pau). The size of the ‘pau’ s nowdays is so small. Thus, I bought 1 Tau Sar Pau and 1 Kaya Pau for him. Immediately he said “Yeah ! I got 2 Tau Sar Pau !“. Oops…. Because of that remark, I went and changed Kaya Pau to Tau Sar Pau. :-D His face was full of joy. nmmm…. this little guy, he wanted pau but he didn’t say it. Luckily I went and buy him. Immediately he returned me the RM1. He said he dun need it anymore. He really likes Tau Sar Pau very much.

Seeing him so contented, I bought another Tai Pau (Big Pau) for myself. :-D
The seller said that the Tai Pau contains egg and chicken. I like Tai Pau that comes with egg and chicken. Not pork and without egg. Happily took the pau to work. :)

Since it was said to contain only chicken and egg, I bite it without hesitation. I chewed for 1 min and the meat was still hard in my mouth! It’s not tender at all. I throwed it out. Hesitated to give another bite… but have to since I had bought it. Same thing ! It’s like all the veins ?? joint together and really very difficult to be chewed. I started pulling it out from the pau one by one. Lastly, I opened up the whole pau, ate the egg, and disposed off all the meat leaving the pau skin only. :-D

I swear, I’ll never go back to that shop (Kwan Nan at Chai leng Park) to buy it’s Tai Pau. In fact, my past experience about his Loh Mai Kai (steam chicken glutinous rice) and other Dim Sum was also not tasty at all!!

Oh… how I wish to eat Ipoh’s pau again.

I really need to consider myself a computer idiot, or to be exact, an internet idiot ?

When I started blogging, it took me quite sometime to setup the layout of my blog. It took me sometime to learn to re-size my photos, upload my photos and till date, I’m still very slow at doing it. That’s why I’m getting lazier and lazier to blog. It’s just too slow and troublesome to get a post done with photos. And blogging without photo is just like writing it to yourself - a diary. No one will ever visit your blog cas it’s just too dull! Anyway, since I’ve started blogging and I hv a blogger friend - New Kid, I will try hard ~~ to continue blogging until God knows when.

Cutting out the craps, coming back to Facebook. It has been 2 months since my friends inviting me to join this “Facebook”. Since more and more friends are talking about it and sending me invitations, I, at last registered myself to Facebook just now. (still very new). It took me hours to do the below few:-

1) Change the language from Japanese to English. (No matter what, I still feel very much comfortable with English than Jap).
2) Upload my photo.
3) Searching each and every tab to find for my friends invitation as I only saw and accepted one. Wonder where are the others ???

And I still cannot figure out how and where are all the other invitations gone ?!

Can anyone help me ?

Fun Time

Fun time in the pool is back for my kids. This was taken 2 wks ago after S.Jaya swimming re-opened.

and this was the one and only time they took their float into the pool.
